DESCRIPTION
South Point is an eighteen storey building developed as a student residence with approximately 2000 beds with the entire uppermost floor dedicated to social and entertainment activity. It is the first multi-storey greenfield (new construction from ground up) contract in Braamfontein for many decades. The building is positioned in the graben, an ancient geological formation across Braamfontein, which required deep piling foundation support. Four hundred and sixty seven piles were installed in the buildings foundation.
